How Coffee & Bible Reading Was Born
Every morning for as long as I can remember, my day has started the same way — coffee brewing and Bible open. Not because I had it all figured out, but because I quickly learned that the mornings I skipped that quiet time were the mornings I felt it most. The anxiety crept in faster. The patience ran thinner. The weight of the day settled heavier.
I am a Gen X woman of faith — a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a lifelong student of God’s Word. I have sat in church pews, attended Sunday school, drew even closer in seasons of grief, and highlighted half my Bible. And for a long time, I kept all of that to myself.
Coffee & Bible Reading started as a simple idea: what if I shared what I was learning in my quiet time with others who might need to hear the same thing? Not polished sermons. Not theological lectures. Just a woman at her kitchen table with her KJV Bible and a warm mug, working through what God’s Word has to say about the real stuff — anxiety, trust, identity, grief, and gratitude.

I also create content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Amazon — always rooted in the same conviction that brought this blog to life: faith is not a Sunday thing. It is a Monday morning, 5 AM, coffee still brewing, Bible already open kind of thing.
What This Blog Is Really About
Coffee & Bible Reading exists to help Christian women — especially Gen X women who have been in the faith for decades and still hunger for more — go deeper in God’s Word without making it complicated. We believe scripture study should be accessible, devotional content should be honest, and Bible reviews should be written by someone who actually uses the Bible every day.
We are KJV-grounded, theologically serious, and warmly approachable. We are not here to tell you what to believe — we are here to open the Word together and let it speak for itself. Every post, every review, every resource on this site is written with one question in mind: does this help a faithful woman go deeper with God?
